Cooking
on a wood plank has been a Northwest tradition for centuries. The fragrance
of the wood imparts a wonderful flavor to your salmon, as the aroma fills
the air. Reusable for years, these planks are a very special way to cook
seafood as well as meat, poultry and vegetables.
Baking on wood
is a unique, natural and healthy way of cooking. The organic, porous
surface absorbs moisture when soaked in water prior to cooking and gives
off that moisture with smoky flavor in the barbecue, oven or pit. Foods
cooked on planks are juicier and more flavorful and less prone to nutrient
loss. |

GRILLING & BAKING DIRECTIONS 1. Soak plank in liquid for at least 30 Minutes (Water, juice and wine work well). 2. Preheat BBQ, Grill or Oven.(Most ovens 350º) 3. Arrange food on grilling plank. 4. Place plank on grill so that it is not directly over the heat source. 5. When using in oven place on cookie sheet.(This way grease will not splatter) 6. Close the grill lid for more smoke. |
